The Innovation Center facility supported the organization's staff relocation to the Global Headquarters and the Learning and Education Center. Christman served as construction manager on two projects associated with that move, which included the construction of the renovated Innovation Center as well as the Model Shop and Test Lab projects.

The new Innovation Center was created through the renovation of a vacant manufacturing facility into state-of-the-art office space. Tenants include the designers of Steelcase鈥檚 cutting-edge office furniture and environments, and the space is reflective of the company鈥檚 modern culture and provides aesthetic inspiration. Some of the highlights include an existing bridge crane that has been repainted a vibrant shade of green, which supports a movable roof structure for a metal stud and drywall room with angled walls, rounded corners and a spiral roof line.
