WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF BATON TWIRLING!
The New York Twirling
Council, which regulates all competitions and twirling events on Long
Island, is made up of Coaches and Judges from the New York area.
They meet four times a year to set the schedule of events that you see
on our Web site and all events are run under the rules and regulations
of the United States Twirling Assn (USTA)
We are now starting our 2007-2008 Twirling Season.
On December 9th, 2008, the Council is hosting a "Holiday Exhibition" at Robert Frost Middle School in Deer Park, NY. This exciting event start with a clinic for our athletes with an array of classes and compulsory evaluations. This is followed by a "Squares" competition, then each organization puts on a "Holiday Show"
Our calendar of events is full this year, starting with an Essentials meet on January 13th, 2008 and followed by our twirling contests, hosted by individual organizations. We culminate our year with our New York State Contest on May 17th & 18th, 2008.
